Additional Information:

Grade Selection The primary responsibility for proper grade selection is that of the customer/user. NewPage will assist in this selection process, but will not be responsible for problems which arise when the actual end use of the paper exceeds the design capabilities of the grade selected. For example, NewPage will not be responsible for web grades printed in sheet forms. Carbonless papers in rolls are not guaranteed to edge pad unless specified in the original purchase order.

Conditioning NewPage are designed to be printed and processed through a wide variety of equipment. For optimal paper performance, the pressroom should be kept within 40-60% relative humidity.

To promote flatness and dimensional stability, DO NOT open the package, but rather, bring it into the pressroom and keep it sealed in the original factory moisture-proof wraps for a specified period of time. This is necessary to preserve the supplied moisture content of the paper while conditioning it to the pressroom temperature.

NewPage will not accept claims for problems related to humidity/temperature imbalance between the packaged paper and the customer's plant if the paper has not been properly conditioned. The following chart shows the necessary conditioning items based on the indoor/outdoor temperature difference, and the volume of paper involved.
