Biron Operations
Begun in 1873 as a sawmill, the Biron Operation now has two paper machines that with a capacity to produce approximately 400,000 tons per year of lightweight and medium-weight coated papers used primarily for magazines and catalogs. The mill has five boilers and four turbines that provide steam to the mill and 40% of the electricity to run the mill.

Duluth Operations
Duluth began operations in 1987. Its single paper machine produces several grades of supercalendered paper used for catalogs, magazines, advertising inserts and other commercial printing. This mill is the top producer of supercalendered paper in the United States with annual capacity of approximately 250,000 tons. The Duluth Recycled Pulp Mill started as a greenfield operation in 1993, producing high-quality recycled pulp. Facility recycles nearly 1 million pounds of recovered paper each day.

Escanaba Operations
The Escanaba Operation began business in the early 1900s. Today the facility has one kraft and one refiner mechanical pulp (RMP) mill, three paper machines and three off-machine coaters plus supporting equipment and one pulp dryer. The mill produces approximately 770,000 tons per year of paper and about 500,000 tons per year of hardwood, softwood and refiner mechanical pulp.

Luke Operations
The Luke Operation was established in 1888. Today it has one kraft pulp mill and two paper machines. At this location, the company can produce 520,000 tons per year of paper and approximately 411,000 tons per year of hardwood and softwood pulp.

Port Hawkesbury Operations
The Port Hawkesbury facility has been in operation since 1962. Today, its capacity is 190,000 metric tons (210,000 short tons) of newsprint (standard and high brightness) on PM 1 used to produce retail inserts, supplements and special newspapers and 360,000 metric tons (396,000 short tons) of supercalendered (SC-A++, SC-A+ and SC-A) paper on PM2 used to produce magazines, catalogs, advertising materials and flyers. A thermomechanical pulp line, commissioned in 2004, provides high-quality furnish for the paper mill.
In 1998, the Woodlands Unit of the Port Hawkesbury Mill was the first forestry operation in Canada to meet the ISO 14001 standards for Environmental Management. Additionally, the Woodlands Unit was the first forestry operation in North America to become successfully certified to the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) and Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) standards for sustainable forest management (achieved in 2001). In early 2008, the Woodlands Unit achieved Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification to the Maritimes Standard for responsible forest management, and Chain-of-Custody certification to the FSC Chain-of-Custody standard and the Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) standard for wood traceability and tracking.
Rumford Operations
The Rumford Operation began in 1901. Today it has one kraft and one groundwood pulp mill, four coated paper machines plus supporting equipment and one pulp dryer. Each year, the facility produces an average of 640,000 tons of paper and approximately 500,000 tons per year of hardwood, softwood and groundwood pulp.

Stevens Point Operations

Wisconsin Rapids Operations
